The former governor also passed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, pointing our her efforts to serve Bomet residents.
On his tweet Rutto said "Our prayers and heartfelt condolences to the family of Hon. Joyce Laboso in this time of loss and grief. The Governor will be remembered for her dedication to improving the lives of the residents of Bomet".
Laboso died at the age of 58 at the Nairobi Hospital, where she had been admitted at the ICU for two weeks days after being flown in from India.
She was the first female second governor of Bomet County and a second governor of that county after thrashing pioneer Governor Isaac Ruto in the 2017 general election.
In a period of one month Kenya has now lost 3 prominent people including former Safaricom C.E.O Bob Collymore who succumbed to cancer and the Kibra Mp Ken Okoth also in the same line of cancer
