Before Jesus saved me,I was a "Chokoraa" at Dandora face 5 dumpsite-Says "KAMA SIO WEWE" Hit maker John Prince Omosh

John "Okoa" Okowa  aka. John Prince  son of a teacher is a minister of gospel born from a humble family in Sidindi  Nyanza region but currently a resident of Nairobi county.

He was named after his "STUBBORN" grand father,over 25 years ago.

Speaking in an interview at KASS TV John prince left the viewers in tears after his touching testimony and how God has been faithful to him.

As his hit song says "Kama sio wewe" indeed Prince believes if not for God he could have been dead and a past tense by now.

His name Okowa inherited from his grandfather which he believes contributed to his bad character before he was born again was later changed and tagged "OKOA".
Before being born again ,John Prince was a street boy,in a commonly known thug hub at Dandora face 5 in Nairobi county after droping out of school at class 6.
He drooped out of school without any compelling reason since his parents were well of and could sustain his life.
He says"Hata sijui kitu ilinitoa home,coz parents wangu walikuwa na doo,by the way my dad alikuwa mwalimu na alitaka aone nikifaulu kwa maisha,Naeza sema ilikuwa tu labada mbinu ya shetani kuharibu mipango ya mungu kwa maisha yangu"
After staying on the streets for a good period of time,and how life was hard and no more hope of living,one night he decided that he wanted to go back home ,that is in Sidindi to reorganize himself,but his main challenge was finance.
He dint have any single penny to help him pay bus fare to Sididndi,and since he was a street boy the only option he had was to hijack someone and get the cash.
On that night at around 10pm John Prince  decided to actualise  his mission by all means,so he went at Kanyama bridge connecting Kariobangi  North and Kasabuni estates of Nairobi.
And like his prayers had been answered ,he saw a man coming from far,and he looked drunk and weak,on reaching the bridge,Prince robbed him off his phone and some cash,not knowing that was his 40th day.
The man shouted and all over sudden the crowd got hold of him.

"I thought  the guy was drunk and i could easily vanish with the phone and cash but all over sudden i found my self in the hands of merciless mob justice who beat me up until i was unconscious ,i can say i died in their hands, and fro there i don't know what happened".
But from the story he was given later is that,one person stopped the crowd from lynching him,and suggested that since his Father is known,he would rather be handled to him for Father for "Burial programs.So he was taken to his father knowing well that he is dead,the father received him in pain and just went silent,but like a miracle,a soon as the crowd left,John regained his conscious.
His father felt relieved but when he wanted to take him to hospital,he refused and proposed that he be taken in the house.
"I nursed serious injuries and wounds for one week in the hands of my parents as i kept on meditating about my life"
After that period of time i realized that i was loosing focus,so one day as i was at home i had gone to visit my friend who used to stay in a church store,but funny enough on reaching there,i dint find him but i found a Lady preacher who had visited the home and since there was a home cell fellowship,the lady encouraged me to stay,and that's how we started a conversation with her that let to my salvation"

But that was not enough to keep me going,so the next challenge was how i could get back and be accepted in the community since my reputation was bad even churches could still not accept me.
So he Thought  of an idea,he could just go stay outside one church near us,times sneak in when people are not there,sweep the church,and wash it then  prepare the chairs for Sunday service.
He did that for long until one day the pastor of that church got concern and set a tap to know who used to clean the church,that how prince was found by one Choir member and that led to him being accepted to the church and immediately absorbed by the Church choir.
He was then further accepted by the praise and worship  team of that church and now his music talent got exposure.
Since also he was passionate abut cloth designing,God landed him in the right hands since the praise team leader had a cloth line shop which he was later absorbed.
Princes life changed,he even went back to school and now started serving God.

After finishing his forth form ,he had recorded some songs inluding,Mokozi wa rehema,Milele yote,Ating'o Wang'a Malo,among many more.

Thanks to Pstor Moris Oloo and his Wife Pamella Oloo who later took him and fine tuned his career in cloth designing and he is now a full professional cloth designer.

His musci statr has Shined after the release of Kama sio wewe dispite other songs that he had initially done.
His last  sentiments are that"Despite the challenges life might give you,accept them and leave them to God,serve faithfully and the faithful God will change every story pf yours in to success".
