Magoha has called on the need of learning institutions in the country to feed students with skills to counter the rising number of unskilled and half baked graduates flooding the employment sector yearly.
Addressing stakeholders at a Competency-Based Curriculum meeting at Nairobi Primary School, Magoha has called on the government to audit doctorate courses offered by local universities in Kenya terming them as weak and below standards.
Yesterday the Commission for University Education (CUE) questioned the quality of Doctor of Philosophy Degrees recently awarded by the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUA) to the grandaunts noting that the PHDS from 2014 are not genuinely given to the qualified candidates.
“We are churning out people who can’t even write a simple job application letters. Everybody wants to be called ‘PhD’. PhD kitu gani!. Magoha added angrily.
