Speaking to Superstar Magazine on an exclusive interview Chombo said that he joined media in September 2009 and has maintained high standards which has given a stiff competition to the mainstream media making it hard for Kenyas big radio station to get a share from the rift valley audience.
Ranging from matatu operators, Motobikes shops and general audience you will regularly hear his voice cut across the airwaves every morning from 5am to 10 am Monday to Friday on Sauti ya Mwananchi Radio 100.9FM.
Perhaps he is one of the major contributors to the station which has been listed as number one in the rift valley according to Communication Authority in KUZA AWARDS 2019
So far Nakuru town has seven radio stations and two TV stationS: Sauti ya Mwananchi, Radio Yetu ,Hero radio, MBCI radio, Ithaga FM, Radio Amani, Egerton radio and Jesus is Lord radio.
The veteran radio Superstar is famously known also for his weekend Political show tagged CHECHE which airs every Saturday on Sauti ya Mwananchi radio from 6PM to 7:30PM.
He is among the veteran presenters who has been on the radio since its inception in September 2007 . His art and fluency in swahili language has earned him a huge derived following of fans making his show among the most popular and most listened to in the entire Rift valley.
His powerful voice has been his best-placed asset which he has uses to control the airwaves.
