She was born in Lamu county and raised up by a single mother .
Speaking to The Superstar magazine Kim who is now a big name in town explained how she went through rough financial and social times, where they could not afford even cloths, shoes and more painful to say,they could not afford even just one meal per day. She said "we used to share slippers as this was the best we could afford by then ,even the house we used to stay in was thatched with grass , ilikua inanyesha sana na maisha yalikuwa magumu kweli". she adds," so mum could not afford to pay for my school fees a condition that forced me stop learning and so i ran away from home to Mombasa County where i started surviving as a house girl for one month before a friend of mine took me to a woman who employed me in her small hotel for some time". She continued narrating to us that despite all the challenges she went through,she continued serving God in church until one day when the Pastor of that called them and told them to look for something they can do to earn a living.
But again when her mum died her life then took another twisted painful dimension as she was now forced to come back to Nairobi in the year 2009.
Life became more tough and merciless she had to go through uncountable challenges until she almost gave up .
But being a determined lady she pressed on until today when she can testify the glory of God she says,"till today i thank God for this far He has brought i am happy i can eat what i want i pay for any type of clothes of my choice ,i have a home and a
happy family, i tell you its a miracle to me".Wangari started singing as a praise and worship member of the Sunday school at the age of 7yrs before she later recorded my first album which had six songs including "Mwaka","kaa nami" and now she is working on a single hit song tagged ."Yesu nakupenda sana Yesu u rafiki yangu". She insisted that "there is nothing strong than the love of Christ,for in Him i am who i am toady He is my everything"
Her biggest project will be out by Gods grace will be in one month time.
currently she serves as a choir member at Jesus Is Alive Ministries, under the anointed woman of God Bishop Margaret Wanjiru
