Two people found in possession of fake currency notes worth over Ksh.
150million in Eldoret town are under police custody for interrogation.
Confirming the incident, Langas OCPD Francis Warui said that Police have
also launched a manhunt for the ex-Webuye West parliamentary aspirant Peter Sitati who
is believed to be on the run.
The suspects were arrested with the fake currency notes in one of the maisonettes in Elgon View estate allegedly owned by Sitati.
This follows a complaint filed by a woman was conned Ksh. 600,000 with the
promise that the money would be multiplied.
The two suspects are being held at Kiamba Police Station where they will
remain in custody until investigations are complete before they are arraigned
in court.
