Favor Sylvia is a born again Christian and an upcoming gospel music artist from Busia Kenya but now a resident in Nairobi.
Speaking to the Superstar Magazine Favor has reveal her plans for this year as a gospel artist and also an upcoming Evangelist.
Music to her is one thing she enjoys and would rather take all her time discovering new things and trends in the music industry.
As many could say that gospel music industry is dead in Kenya,Favour believes its not,Her powerful voice and energy has brought in a new dawn to gospel music in Kenya following a biggest single track tagged Sababu which she did recently.
"I believe there are still ministers who sing real gospel music in Kenya ,the likes of Florence Mureithi,Sarah K, just to mention but few,the only problem is that media has given a big coverage to urban gospel music"She said
As a worship and praise leader she has traveled in many places both in Kenya and other African states spreading the good news by use of her talent and ministry and she admits that Kenya is super talented compared to other nations she has visited.
But like other artists ,Favour mostly being a girl isn't excluded from the challenges musicians face locally and internationally.
"Recording music was not easy, at first it was financial challenges,then after that ,it was now producer drams and hitch ups" she said ,"My first song was done poorly,i remember going to one local radio station for an interview and the presenter boldly told me that my song had a poor quality of audio,i felt so discouraged almost giving up in music before i later found a good producer" she added .
She told the Superstr Magazine that she did her fast audio album in 2016 but it never worked well then she gave up only to emerge again with her hit song Sababu in a new album last year August . "It hasn't been easy but God has seen me through" She narrates .
Her main aim is to do live music recording as she is trusting God in having her live recording instruments video camera too,
She says,"I wanna reach out to the broken hearted , buddened, sick, siners in oder to give them hope and bring them back to chirist",Favour is also a business personal who distributes forever living beauty products.You can follow her on Facebook and youtube for her songs
